#Cities in Gentlemen’s Agreement and Other Stories

#Cities form the environmental backdrop to three short stories involving private detective Mark Kent: Gentlemen’s Agreement, The Inheritance, and Indebted.
Kent has been in the Army and finds it difficult to accept the changes in new developments and the differences between old and new architecture. His surroundings are sightly alien to him and he also resents not being consulted. His investigations into missing people and lost diamonds make him aware of how areas in the city (still) have different groups of people according to work, money, and class.
